UAE E-Invoicing

Connect your ERP to the five-corner framework.

For large UAE businesses, the implementation date is fixed: entities with annual revenue above AED 50 million must appoint an Accredited Service Provider by 30 October 2026 and fully implement by 1 January 2027. The technical work between those dates is where readiness is won or lost.

UAE E-Invoicing:

What the UAE model  actually does

The UAE framework uses Peppol-based decentralized exchange. Your ERP sends invoice data to your ASP (Corner 2); the ASP validates and converts it to the UAE XML standard and sends the invoice to the buyer’s ASP (Corner 3). In parallel, tax data is reported to the FTA (Corner 5). The buyer’s ASP validates and delivers the invoice to the buyer. This is not the same operating model as Saudi clearance.

Important scope points

What the UAE mandate means for your business.

01

B2B and B2G

B2B and B2G business transactions are in scope; supplies to consumers are currently outside the e-invoicing scope.

02

PINT-AE XML

Electronic invoices are issued, transmitted and received in XML using the UAE PINT-AE specification.

03

No QR code

UAE electronic invoices do not feature a QR code or barcode.

04

One accredited ASP

An in-scope person works with one Accredited Service Provider for sending and receiving electronic invoices.

05

Compliance remains with business

The compliance obligation remains with the in-scope business even though the ASP performs important transmission and validation functions.

Implementation Risk

Where implementations fail

"The most common risk is not 'missing
an API."

The most common risk is discovering late that buyer identifiers, tax data, address information, tax treatment, credit-note references or line-item structures do not map cleanly from the ERP into the PINT-AE data requirements.

These are data-governance and process issues as much as integration issues.

Techminds Delivery Model

From readiness to compliant exchange.

Implementation process
01
Scope

02
Assess
Assess source data and master-data completeness.
03
Design
Design direct API or middleware integration depending on the ERP.
04
Connect
Connect to the client-appointed MoF-accredited ASP.
05
Test
Execute end-to-end tests for invoices, credit notes and exception scenarios.
06
Monitor
Implement acknowledgement status, failure monitoring and an auditable record of the exchange.

A transparent role in the ecosystem

Techminds is positioned as the implementation and tax-technology integration partner, not as a substitute for the Ministry-accredited ASP. That separation lets the client choose an accredited provider on commercial and service criteria while keeping the ERP and process integration independently engineered.
